St. Kevin Catholic School

Christ Our Reason Everyday

The foundation of St. Kevin Catholic School is founded on its Catholic identity. As an institution that is more like a family, the Catholic traditions cut across generational lines and are embedded deeply into the fabric of the community. St. Kevin instills in each child a sense of belonging and educates the whole child, spiritually as well as academically. St. Kevin Catholic School with the guidance of the pastor, administration, and faculty serves the Catholic community in the area by providing the foundations where students are able to continue their education and become successful young men and women of service and faith.

Academically Rigorous

At St. Kevin Catholic School the essential elements of "an academically rigorous and doctrinally sound program" mandate curricular experiences-including co-curricular and extra-curricular activities-which are rigorous, relevant, research-based, and infused with Catholic faith and traditions. We follow a framework for the design, implementation, and assessment of authentic academic excellence in Catholic school education from prekindergarten through secondary school.

Strong Student Services

The Pupil Services Department strives to meet the needs of the students in the school.  It offers various programs and services such as:

  • The Excel Program
  • The Enrichment Program
  • Student Success Team (SST)
  • The Guidance Program

Focused Early Education

The Little Shamrocks Learning Center is developed within a play oriented curriculum with emphasis on religious experiences, language arts, problem solving, and acceptable social behavior.  Directed creative experiences provide opportunities for the young child and the teacher to explore the learning capabilities of each child.  Teachers are concerned with the whole child.

Growth Focused Intermediate Grades

Under the direction of the Intermediate Grades Curriculum Coordinator grades 3, 4, and 5 build upon the skills which were learned in the primary grades through a variety of activities.  The students take part in educational challenges designed for the Elementary Grades.  The Fairchild Challenge is a multi-disciplinary, environmental education competition which encourages students to actively learn, play, and explore their world.  In the Intermediate grades, students are taught study skills which will ultimately help them in becoming independent learners.

St. Kevin Catholic School opened its doors in August of 1980. The school began with a total of eleven classrooms, two classrooms for grades first through fourth and one for grades fifth through seventh. St. Kevin School became fully accredited in April of 1988. • Our family has been part of the St. Kevin family for 2 years, and what a wonderful experience it has been. From the teachers, to the other families, it really feels like home. My 2 and 4 year olds are learning so much and having a blast, with Christ at the center of it all. I look forward to making many memories with my kids and for my kids in this school.

  • I have been a part of the St. Kevin family since my daughter started PK3 in 2005. My son began with the Little Shamrocks program for PK2 in 2010. Both children have enjoyed a nurturing and spiritual environment while mastering the required academics. The children look forward to going to school and have already made many friendships that will last a lifetime! Our personal experience with the school has been excellent as well. As involved parents, we too have found our experience at St. Kevin a rewarding one where we have had an opportunity to play a role in making St. Kevin the best place it can be for us and our family. The Administration and teachers have been receptive, open, caring and professional. I highly recommend St. Kevin Catholic School!
